Chicago actor and composer Michael Mahler brings Paul Simon’s songs to Metropolis Performing Arts Centre on October 6, 2026, at 2 p.m. Feelin’ Groovy: Michael Mahler Sings Paul Simon pairs a live band with a program drawn from Simon’s solo work and his years with Simon & Garfunkel.
According to Metropolis’ announcement, the set includes “Mrs. Robinson,” “The Sound of Silence,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Homeward Bound,” “Cecilia,” “Late in the Evening” and “You Can Call Me Al.” Artists Lounge Live, the Chicago production company led by Michael and Angela Ingersoll, presents the concert.
Mahler’s work spans performing, writing and music direction. A Northwestern University graduate and American Blues Theater ensemble member, he has also worked on musicals including Miss Saigon and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
