Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble’s 2026–27 season brings local musicians, a new staging of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf and the Full Circle Festival to its home at 1650 W. Foster Ave.
Copasetic Vibrations: A Music Festival opens the artistic season November 13–14, 2026. The announced lineup includes Kacie Brown & The Vision, GO79MAN, Poor Thing, Lakewaves Trio, Electric Mothership and other Chicagoland musicians. Performances begin at 8 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday. Passes are listed at $30 for one day or $50 for the weekend.
Aja Singletary directs For Colored Girls, running February 26–March 13, 2027, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. The production combines dance, music and poetry in a work centered on Black women’s lives. Tickets are listed at $35–$50.
Full Circle Festival follows May 7–23, 2027. The company is making room for longer works, with physical, fringe and dance theater pieces running between 30 and 60 minutes. Tickets are listed at $15–$25.
Before those productions, the intergenerational arts program Passages holds a free public showing October 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. Younger and older artists have worked together on performances exploring rites of passage. A Day of Healing is also scheduled for December 6, with admission by suggested donation.
