Kokandy Productions closes its 2026 season with A Clockwork Orange: A Play with Music, Anthony Burgess’s stage adaptation of his novel, running November 5, 2026–January 10, 2027, on the Chopin Theatre Mainstage, 1543 W. Division St.
Producing Artistic Director Derek Van Barham directs, with music direction and original music by Sean Ellis and choreography by Breon Arzell. Reilly Oh plays Alex DeLarge; Hannah Antman, Jamille Calixte and Ben Harmon play his fellow Droogs.
The production follows Alex through a dystopian world of violence, punishment and attempts to control human behavior. In the company’s announcement, Van Barham describes the story as a way to examine choice, individual expression and the use of fear to enforce conformity.
The ensemble also includes Robert Hunter Bry, Colin Callahan, Sydney Genco, Jaiden Lindsey, Tommy Thams and Lizzie Williams. The creative team includes scenic designer Eric Luchen, costume designer Rachel Sypniewski, lighting designer G “Max” Maxin IV and sound designer Matt Reich.
Previews begin November 5, with the press opening November 21 at 7 p.m. The usual schedule is Thursdays through Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m.; holiday-week changes are listed on the ticket calendar.
The announcement lists preview admission at $28.52 for general admission or $39.19 for reserved seating. Regular tickets are $55.20 or $65.87, with student and senior tickets at $44.52. Those listed prices include processing fees. A limited artist discount is available with the code ARTIST.
