Metropolis’ “The Little Mermaid” audition deadline is Oct. 26

Metropolis Performing Arts Centre lists Monday, Oct. 26, as the submission deadline for Disney’s “The Little Mermaid: A Staged Concert,” according to its current audition notice.

The Arlington Heights company is seeking main cast members and understudies. Ty Perry directs the collaboration between the Metropolis School of Performing Arts and JAM Orchestra, with music direction by Aaron Kaplan.

The submission form asks for a headshot and résumé, along with a video of 32 bars or up to one minute of material in the style of the show. The form remained open Monday morning; the notice does not specify a closing hour.

In-person callbacks are scheduled for Nov. 2, 3 and 5 at Metropolis, 111 W. Campbell St. Rehearsals begin Jan. 4, 2027, with performances scheduled from Jan. 27 through Feb. 14.
