“You don’t look sick…”, “….at least you don’t have (insert terrible life-threatening disease)….”, “Oh yeah, I totally know how you feel, I’m exhausted too (says perfectly healthy person).”
We polled a bunch of folks who deal with autoimmune diseases and chronic illness to hear what the best and worst things people have said to them are. Join us in refreshing that life lesson that you can never know what someone’s journey is, and that we could all stand to be a little more careful with our words.
